"I have been training once a week with Freddie for about 3 months now and have noticed real improvements to my body. Rather than following a strict calorie counted diet (which I would slip from within days, if not hours), Freddie encourages a more realistic balance of healthy eating coupled with the kind of training that has lasting results.

When we fist started working together I was used to class-based training and stubbornly kept going to my classes instead of doing the programmes Freddie set for me. Freddie pointed out that if I was to continue as I had been prior to personal training than why was I paying him. On his advice I cut down on some of my weekly classes and incorporated his routines into my weekly workouts. I soon lost half a stone. My body is much more toned.

My legs and arms are more defined and shapely, my bottom and chest have lifted, but best of all my dreaded ‘jelly-belly’ is flatter and my abs are emerging. Whilst some people opt to have a personal trainer for a period and then continue on their own I intend to carry on with Freddie. Seeing him once a week keeps me motivated and goal-focused and I know he pushes me more during our sessions than I will push myself I’ve always dreamt of having a six-pack and with Freddie’s help I know I can and will achieve it."

"I trained with Freddie a year or so ago. I'd never had a personal trainer before and after a trial session I signed up. I'd never been happy with my shape and had always had fairly low self-confidence because of it. Being in the band, I wanted to look good in the videos and photos; and I didn't like feeling my arms wobble when I played my bass!!

Freddie was a complete slavedriver! Despite being a member of the gym for a good couple of years before I met him, I'd certainly never worked as hard as I did in our training sessions. I have no willpower in doing anything I don't like, so having someone willing me on and pushing me was incredibly benficial to me. I started to see results surprisingly quickly and found the personal measurement record really rewarding because seeing on paper how many inches I was losing made it all the more real.

In my first discussion with Freddie about what I wanted to achieve, I told him I wanted to drop a dress size - I ended up dropping nearly two! I felt so much happier and had so much more confidence, and I know I did the work myself, but there's no way it would have happened without Freddie. He's a star!!"

"I booked a 10 week course with Freddy after having a taster session with him.

Some say I am a little bit of a Madam so I needed someone tough who would not let me run rings around them.

Enter Freddy and his dreaded callipers, I wasn’t overweight I just wanted my clothes to fit me better, to look more toned and get rid of the love handles I seemed to have collected over the past year or so.

Freddy worked with me to create a realistic and achievable programme, one that I could also do on my own in the gym for the sessions I didn’t see him. I think the best thing for me is that he never tried to push me into doing things I hated, yes he made me run and row- hate them both, but he incorporated things into my workout that I liked that had just as much benefit as those things.

I felt much fitter and a few weeks in there was a noticeable difference, my stomach was flatter my waist was smaller and people noticed that I had lost weight, which is the real test. I lost about 1 dress size in 10 weeks and was so much more toned and confident, I actually liked the way I looked in a bikini as appose to just wanting to drown myself in a sarong.

Yes a personal trainer may seem like a luxury and you may think you can’t afford it, but just stop buying that weekly magazine or all those creams and potions and bite the bullet. If you want a hot body for the summer or you just want to tone up a little.

Freddy can give you what you need- he listens, he is lovely and he gets results."

"Regardless of your goals, or how long you want to continue with a personal trainer, getting one in the first place is definitely a good idea.

I’ve gone to the gym on a regular basis for the last 6 years but I have never seen results as quickly as I have with Freddie. Seeing him on a weekly basis provided the motivation to keep pushing myself during the week, and gave me an added incentive of not wanting to let myself down, and not wanting to let him down either. Neither did I want the money I was forking out to be a waste of time.

The support that Freddie provides is great – I err on the side of caution when it comes to my body but with him telling you you’ve got smaller every time he sees you, you have to start believing. And then when the dreaded tape measure comes out and you see that he’s right, it motivates you to continue the good work.

My sessions with Freddie also opened my eyes to what I could get my body to do, with a bit of determination. Having Freddie ‘force’ me to run for 5 minutes made me realize I could do it, if I just tried hard enough, similarly with the weight machines he would put me on. I found myself continuing the running even without him there to goad me on. Now I can run for 25 minutes straight (if I’m really trying!), which was a huge achievement for me.

People tend to stick to the same machines that they know, which can become a bit tiresome. Another good thing about having a session with Freddie every week was that it added some variety to my work out. It also educated me as to the best way to exercise to get the most out of it, and to boost my metabolism. Which means not having to starve myself or cut out every tasty food known to man. The flip side to that was that when I did over-indulge, I could physically see the effects it would have on my body, rather putting me off doing it all the time!

In the ten weeks I was with Freddie my fitness improved ten-fold and my body’s shape and size changed to reflect that. I was maid of honour at my best friend’s wedding in August and was determined to slim down for that. My aim was to drop one or two dress sizes. After ten weeks with Freddie and continuing his programme for several weeks, I went shopping and picked up what I thought was my normal size, tried it on and it fitted really well so I bought it. When I got it home I realized it was a size smaller than what I used to be! By the time it got to the end of August, the bridesmaid dress I had bought in January was so big it fell off me, even when I had regular clothes on underneath it!

Yes, a personal trainer is a little on the expensive side but it is definitely money well spent in the long run. I now have the tools I need to continue all the good work Freddie has helped me achieve. The only downside is the hidden costs – I’m going to have to go out and buy myself a whole new wardrobe soon."

"I’d been coming to the gym for about 2 years, doing various classes and occasionally some weights, and although I could tell I was a bit fitter and a bit stronger, I hadn’t managed to lose any weight and I didn’t look any more toned. So I started with Freddie and he’s managed to do more in 12 weeks than I’d managed in 2 years on my own!

From the start, I was enjoying my workouts more than I ever had, and I started to see results straight away. I was running faster, lifting more weights and losing the flab! Freddie keeps the workouts varied, challenging and fun – and he gives so much encouragement that I've kept going much more than I ever thought I could. I’ve run faster than I thought my legs would physically move ; I’ve managed to not just do one press-up but ten; and I’ve done it all with a smile on my face.

Freddie really helps you to focus on your goals and style the workout to suit you. He’s always giving you a smile & some encouragement when you’re in the gym between sessions and the fact that he measures you every single time makes you able to see the progress right from the first few weeks.

Last week I tried on some jeans that I last managed to fit into 8 months ago and I could get in them again. In fact they looked better than they ever did before!

If you’re looking for someone to help reach your goals making coming to the gym fun again and get a real sense of satisfaction from your workouts then I couldn’t recommend Freddie highly enough."

When you know that you can train yourself and you get the results you want, it is not always easy to invest additional time and money to think a personal trainer could do any better; but I was wrong!

I found a trainer who gave me the the results I wanted and in return got the body I knew I deserved. The results speak for themselves, he worked me hard and at the same time I got the return on my investment - a well-toned physic, and in addition, a great friendship blossomed.

Freddie more than got me back into shape; he even lifted my spirits each time he trained me. A wonderful trainer who pushes you to the limit and definitely get results. Thank you for the experience and a little humility goes a long way.

"If you’re thinking about signing up with Freddie do yourself a favour and RUN!!!! I’m joking (of course…or am I?) I’ve been training with Freddie for around six weeks and I’m definitely pleased with the results. Without a doubt – you will push yourself to places that you never thought were possible, do more sit ups than anybody in their reasonable mind would expect and lift weights until you arms drop off and crawl away.. nah, I’m kidding …feel like jelly more like it.

The upside – you’ll also be able to scream or shout your frustrations at him and trust me …it makes those ten extra push ups well worth it! The more I work out the more motivated I become. It may have to do with the fact that Freddie will work you harder if you’ve been slacking off, but honestly, I know it has a whole lot more to do with the planning my wardrobe :o)! if you are dedicated and patient you will see results.

You may have to retire your ‘favourite’ jeans because they’ll become too big (still not impressed because I love those jeans!!!) BUT you will undeniably look and feel better! So what are you waiting for?!?! LET THE TORTURE BEGIN :o)"

"I met Freddie after joining fitness first back in 2005 and asked the receptionist 'who was the best trainer to go with for my free session' she replied without hesitation Freddie is the best'. She was right and I took this free session and wanted to carry on to get back into shape after taking a year out in Australia and not exercising at all and because from the beginning I knew I could achieve great things with Freddie.

He was very friendly and knew his stuff on fitness and best of all we set a number of goals that were jointly set when our training sessions started. These included weight loss of one stone, reduction in waist size of 2 inches and an improvement of my posture. Freddie's training methods, along with his enthusiasm to see me achieve, were key drivers in my achievement of goal after goal.

Initial targets were achieved and then re-set before being achieved again. The initial fitness assessment was key to determining targets that were both achievable but also challenging. Training sessions were kept interesting through the innovative use of a variety of resistance training techniques that built up over time. These included floor exercise, circuit, weight training systems and kick boxing. As well as the actual sessions, Freddie provided valuable advice on additional training for diet/ nutritional advice and sport massage.

I am in no doubt that this had lead to my loss of 2 stone and a reduction of my waist size of 4 inches and my desire to push further. So I succeeded the goals in a year whilst training with Freddie. Throughout my training regime with Freddie, I have found him extremely knowledgeable with regard to not only effective training techniques, but also lifestyle changes that compliment the training regime."

"In the short period of time I trained with Freddie (3 months), I (and all my friends, family and boyfriend) witnessed an amazing change to my body shape. For the first time in years I was looking forward to putting on my bikini – and I have to say when I arrived in the Maldives I felt and looked great!

In the past I have tried various diets and have always exercised t the gym, however nothing has worked as well as having a one to one personal trainer. I would recommend to anyone. Now that I have achieved my goal it is so much easier to maintain.

"Teach a man to Fish!

And you’ll feed him for life. This well known saying was one of the fist things that Freddie taught me and it is certainly true when it comes to exercise as well as fishing. I had about 15 sessions with Freddie about a year ago and as his before and after pictures prove his methods certainly work!

Freddie taught me to bring discipline and structure to exercise and he developed a routine for me, which I still follow today. The most important thing Freddie gave me though was motivation – all I need do is close my eyes to hear him shouting “come on – you can do it” to spur me on the treadmill"

"Oh my God, the man is crazy he’s worse than Mr. T... LOL!!!

No, Seriously, I thought Freddie was like most PT’s who’s just after a massive client base and not interested in the person’s growth.

I’m still training with him even though he’s worse than Mr.T I’ve seen my body change and tone up as well as that I’ve become a lot stronger than before.

I have an overactive thyroid, training with Freddie has helped it a lot. But if you want to live long and stay healthy keep on going!!"

"This is to say I used Freddie as my personal trainer for a period of about 4/6 months. He helped me gain confidence and lose weight and I found his programme easy to apply. Freddie is easy to work with and generally a very nice person.

I would recommend Freddie as a personal trainer with a vast amount of knowledge in the field of keeping fit and healthy."

"Well what can I say about Freddie? I have trained with him now for about four months and during that time I have noticed a big difference in my fitness, strength and physique (my boyfriend is particularly pleased with my butt!). The first truly noticeable changes came after around two weeks when he got his evil fat pinchers (I am told they are called calipers) and tape measure out for the second time and to my surprise, I had managed to lose about 2% of body fat and at least a cm in most areas (I’m not huge to start with – size 12 at the most).

I originally started training with Freddie to get in shape for a black tie dinner and dance which was booked for 6 weeks later – I managed to lose 6% of fat within 5 weeks. That, in my book, is pretty impressive considering I am the biggest food junkie there is! Bless him Freddie does try to sort out my nutrition out: he is full of fantastic advice and tips that he makes work for you so you can still enjoy your food and life but look amazing whilst doing it.

Each session we do is fun and varied and I still get butterflies in my stomach beforehand as I never know what I am going to be made to do. The scariest thing by far is the treadmill – there is nothing like the fear of falling backwards to make you run as fast as you can although Freddie assures me this hasn’t happened yet!

The one bad thing about Freddie? He hardly ever cancels."

"Let me start off first of all by saying: "I Hate the Gym" - I always have. Although I have always maintained a relatively healthy diet, the missing element has always been a lack of exercise and motivation. I have always thought negatively about working out and seen it as something that I simply could not do.

However, being 'fit' and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has always been something I have aspired to and so I started working out with Freddie just about a year ago. From the very beginning Freddie was very positive and honest about the kinds of results I could expect to achieve as long as I worked hard and remained dedicated. Although I was not convinced - I noticed changes within the first few weeks and began to realize that exercise was actually something 'I could do.' Slowly, I began to work out more and every week Freddie offered a lot of encouragement and great advice about things I could work on and do better. I began to see the changes in my arms (which I initially hated the most) and from my tummy to my legs things started to look more and more trim week by week. Although I noticed changes on the scale it felt really great when other people began to notice the results. In total - I have lost around 20kg and counting.

Freddie has taught me how to vary my exercise routines and include weights in my programme. The varied workout programme ensures that I am never bored and makes training a whole lot 'less painful.' He also makes an effort to advise on good eating habits and makes suggestions on ways to generally maintain a healthy lifestyle.

There have been many high points from working out with Freddie - aside from being a super cool guy with a great attitude and a very positive work ethic I have become a lot more confident and feel fitter and stronger everyday. He has played a large part in changing my attitude towards exercise and while I dont 'love' the gym now - I hate it a whole lot less."

"Freddie, was the reason I joined gym box in the first place.

I was training at fitness first with an instructor, when a friend told me how amazing her instructor was. At that time I wasn’t too happy with mine, so I thought I would test him out. But, he would have to be amazing for me to swap gyms and fortunately he was, so I decided to swap gyms and start training with him.

It was Freddie’s dedication and sense of humour that got me. I have never in my life come across anyone so dedicated and passionate about their job like Freddie is to his. He worked on my posture as well as parts of my body that I wasn’t happy with, and I even adopted a nickname…PRINCESS (which still to this day I don’t know why..hahahaha)….and wooolaahhh in no time I was transformed.

Lets hope Freddie doesn’t move to another gym any time soon …or it looks like I am on the move again!!"

"I’ve been training for numbers of years, participating with various classes ( circuit, dance, etc)

Just after the Christmas, I had the opportunity to train with Freddie, he’s the guy that wears a stopwatch around his neck, who decided to create a programme for me. The first week I thought I was going to die, that was just the beginning involving free-weights and intensive cardiovascular workouts.

Week 2-5, started noticing the changes within my body, people in the gym who knew me for just going to classes , made very positive compliments about the way I looked.

I’m still continuing to introduce my workout involving the gym, but nevertheless a BIG THANKS to Freddie for giving me this challenge who says working out in the gym is boring."
