Chris a keen football and rugby player was known to his team mates as “the man that always falls down”, a recent injury was exacerbating the problem, preventing him from playing at his best.
My professional advice was sought, Chris, playing rugby in the “Veterans” league almost had me believing he was fast approaching his sporting career death bed. Age no excuse I tell him, particularly as he is the same age as me.
Instead we look at the pro’s and cons of his sporting ability – Chris is relatively fast, experienced and strong, BUT HE FALLS DOWN. Action- A few weeks of Speed, Agility and Quickness training – Results- a much improved performance!
On the rugby pitch – players trying to intercept the ball could not reach Chris – his new found speed meant they were crashing behind him.
Chris played an important role in transforming his rugby and football teams to winning ways, and is now being considered for First team rugby. The veteran has gone, the strong player has reappeared – and he no longer falls down! |
